Paisley Dragon Fruit variety Dragon Fruit is a hybrid variety that comes from Hylocereus guatemalensis and Hylocereus undatus. This variety produces half pound to one pound fruit with an average brix rating of 16. The external appearance of the fruit is red skin with green fins. The inner flesh is red in color with slight purple tones. The flowers are plentiful and fragrant however they are self-sterile, meaning they need a pollinator to set fruit. Paisley is a very vigorous grower that can have segments up to 5 feet in length. Stems resemble typical Hylocereus guatemalensis growth with a heart-shaped rib and small spines. This hybrid variety was collected from a tropical grower in California.
